Burnout coach · London and online
Burnout coaching for people who cannot keep performing like this.
You may still be meeting deadlines, training or holding everything together. But the cost is rising. Recovery-led coaching helps you rebuild capacity and performance without turning recovery into another task to fail.
What burnout coaching addresses
The workload matters. So does the system carrying it.
Burnout rarely arrives because someone stopped caring. It often develops when high responsibility, poor recovery, weak boundaries and identity-level pressure run together for too long. Rest helps, but returning to the same architecture recreates the same result.
The work is to understand what is loading you, what keeps your system activated, which behaviours are compensations rather than solutions, and what must change for performance to become sustainable again.
The recovery-led process
Recover capacity. Rebuild the way you perform.
Read the load
Map work, training, sleep, caregiving, attention and the hidden demands that keep the system switched on.
Create an off-switch
Use practical recovery and clearer boundaries to create periods where work is genuinely not present.
Change the architecture
Redesign routines, decisions and expectations so progress does not depend on crisis, guilt or adrenaline.
Return sustainably
Build work and training load against real capacity, with feedback before the next crash—not after it.
Choose the right route
One pattern. Different contexts.
For leadership pressure, decision load and a business that never switches off, see executive burnout coaching. If achievement has become your identity and rest feels threatening, see high-performer burnout. If your immediate goal is to rebuild output after stabilising the system, explore performance coaching.
If you are trying to understand the pattern before choosing support, start with am I burnt out—or just tired? For an evidence-reviewed explanation of why recovery is not a fixed countdown, continue to burnout recovery stages: what recovery actually looks like. If low mood or loss of interest may be involved, seek appropriate clinical assessment rather than assuming burnout is the only explanation.
Important: this is non-clinical performance coaching. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical advice or treatment. Significant or worsening physical or mental-health symptoms should be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Evidence and boundaries
Start with the right definition.
The World Health Organization defines burnout as an occupational phenomenon, not a medical condition. The HSE Management Standards identify demands, control, support, relationships, role and change as important areas of work design. Coaching can examine those non-clinical conditions; significant or persistent symptoms should be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Questions
Burnout coaching, answered.
What is burnout coaching?
Burnout coaching is a non-clinical process for understanding the demands, behaviours and recovery gaps keeping you in an unsustainable cycle, then rebuilding boundaries, routines and performance capacity.
Is burnout coaching therapy or medical treatment?
No. Abraham provides performance coaching, not psychotherapy, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If symptoms may require clinical support, that support should sit alongside coaching or take priority.
Do I have to stop working or training?
Not automatically. The work begins by assessing the load and your current capacity. The aim is to remove avoidable strain, restore recovery and build a sustainable way forward rather than prescribe a generic retreat from life.
Is burnout coaching available online?
Yes. Abraham works with clients in London and online across the UK and internationally.
You do not have to earn recovery.
